Pulau Dua, Central Sulawesi

Pulau Dua is built for motion. Its underwater landscape is shaped by sloping reefs, scattered boulders, and coral-covered ridges that drop into deeper water. The current here moves with purpose, sometimes steady, sometimes pushing and that’s what brings the fish in.

On the right dive, you’ll find yourself surrounded by schools of fusiliers, batfish, and barracudas, with trevallies slicing through the current in tight formation. Reef sharks and eagle rays pass through, and sometimes, you get lucky, a manta, a mobula, something unexpected in the blue.

Most of the action happens between 10 to 20 meters, where the water feels alive. It’s not the easiest site. It demands awareness. But if you’re into fish, this is where you want to be.
